Assignment: Design a two-sided poster, with one side featuring an era-inspired design and the other side containing folded panels offering information about the era. The primary objectives were to implement a complex fold layout design, use custom grids and columns, and establish a well-organized baseline grid for text-heavy sections.
I researched the Bauhaus art movement and created a half trifold after experimenting with different folding ideas. I designed the folded panels and main poster, taking inspiration from authentic Bauhaus posters and designs. To align with the Bauhaus principles of simplicity and functional design, I used various versions of the clean and minimalist futura font family. I also found some decorative typefaces from Adobe's package of Bauhaus-inspired fonts. I used primary colors and black and white for my color palette and lots of overlapping simple geometric shapes. I am so proud of it and I love how it turned out.
