This assignment required me to create a pet portrait inspired by Dawgpainter on Instagram. The challenge was using ONLY primary colors and white and focusing on color harmony, color schemes, and values. The limited color palette allowed me to create a cohesive and visually striking painting while also developing my skills in color theory and painting techniques.
Although I wish I could have painted my pup in his real fur color, the values made it look like him, and it still looks like him. I'm glad he loves it, but let's be real, he's colorblind, so who knows what he's seeing. As long as he's wagging his tail, that's all that matters!
