The assignment required selecting a book from the Gutenberg Project and then using Adobe InDesign's Books panel to format and assemble a multi-chapter book. The assignment required the utilization of nested paragraph styles,  parent pages with automated page numbering, and the creation of a Table of Contents page that had been generated with the Table of Contents feature.

Chapter 1
I developed a style sheet to ensure a cohesive design throughout the project. I set up the parent pages and defined my paragraph styles. Next, I created and formatted the InDesign files for each chapter, the covers, the TOC, and the title page. Then I populated and formatted the table of contents. I wish I had given myself enough time to create a more captivating cover in Illustrator. My initial sketch included Big Ben, stars, and flying children. Nevertheless, I feel that I now grasp the concept of formatting a multi-chapter book.
